frequently asked questions

Where can I begin learning to meditate?

Headspace, Calm, and Ten Percent Happier are excellent apps that provide structured, secular meditation instruction. Insight Timer is a thriving community where thousands of meditation teachers post guided meditations that can be accessed through their app. Each of these apps offer free and paid options.

Does A Skeptic’s Path to Enlightenment make money?

A Skeptic’s Path to Enlightenment is a not-for-profit activity. The site features affiliate links for books and apps mentioned in articles that may generate referral income. However, none of these links are sponsored advertisements. Any revenue from the site and podcast will be used to support its expenses, including hosting, audio production, development, and design.

Profit, if any, will be donated to the charitable organizations where we learned to meditate: Tse Chen Ling Center for Tibetan Buddhist Studies, Vajrapani Institute for Wisdom Culture, The Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT), Gyuto Foundation, and Tibet House.
