Where can I begin learning to meditate?
Developed over 9 years in partnership with London’s Jamyang Buddhist Centre, our 12-week in-depth course teaches a thousand-year-old sequence of analytical meditation for a modern audience.
Headspace, Calm, and Ten Percent Happier are excellent apps that provide structured, secular meditation instruction. Insight Timer is a thriving community where thousands of meditation teachers post guided meditations that can be accessed through their app.
Does A Skeptic’s Path to Enlightenment make money?
A Skeptic’s Path to Enlightenment is a U.S. 501(c)(3) non-profit with a mission of sharing secular forms of Buddhist meditation. Our podcast and web content are free, and we don’t accept advertising. We are supported by class income, donations from our listeners, supporters, sponsors, and our team. All donations and revenue go directly to support the expenses of producing our meditation content.
We gratefully acknowledge the organizations where we learned the Buddhist meditation techniques that we base our content on, and we encourage you to support their activities: Tse Chen Ling Center for Tibetan Buddhist Studies, Vajrapani Institute for Wisdom Culture, The Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT), Gyuto Foundation, and Tibet House.
